What are different Fixed Tilt Structure and Types?
A fixed-tilt solar structure is a mounting system used to install solar panels at a fixed angle. It is a popular and cost-effective solution for installing solar panels in regions with consistent weather patterns.
Fixed-tilt solar structures typically consist of a framework of metal or aluminum that supports the solar panels at a fixed angle, typically between 10-45 degrees, depending on the latitude of the installation site. The angle of the solar panels is optimized to maximize the amount of solar radiation absorbed by the panels throughout the day.
The fixed tilt design allows for easy installation, low maintenance, and reliable performance. It is particularly suitable for Flat roofs or ground-mounted solar installations, where space is not a constraint, and the structure can be secured to the ground using pre or post-foundations.
There are several designs for the fixed-tilt structure as follows:
- Landscape Structure: The Landscape structure is also known as L Structure. It can be stacked in a different number of panels like L1, L2, L3, L4, or L5. The stacking of panels on the structure varies according to the available roof space. The concept design of the Landscape is shown in the image below
L2 Structure
- Portrait Structure: The Portrait structure is also known as P Structure. It can be stacked in a different number of panels like P1, and P2. The stacking of panels on the structure varies according to the available roof space and P2 is most commonly used for the ground-mount structure and it is mounted using the foundation or the pilling method according to the soil.
